MILWAUKEE MUSEUM MILE
Welcome to the Milwaukee Museum Mile!
The Milwaukee Museum Mile is a unique consortium of museums nestled along Lake Michigan on Milwaukee’s Historic East Side. Five wonderful museums have come together to create a simple and affordable way for visitors to access and enjoy multiple museum experiences and promote the area as a destination for Milwaukee residents and visitors to our city.
Join Us for Our 2nd Annual Milwaukee Museum Mile Day
Sunday, May 5, 2013 | 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Experience a rich collection of art and architecture during the 2nd Annual Milwaukee Museum Mile Day.
All five museums will offer free or reduced admission, and several museums will offer complimentary docent-led tours, light refreshments and champagne, and prize drawings. Free activities for children will also be available, including a Milwaukee Museum Mile scavenger hunt.
Milwaukee Museum Mile Day locations and admission discounts include:
- Jewish Museum Milwaukee – Free Admission
- Charles Allis Art Museum – Free Admission
- Museum of Wisconsin Art at Saint John's On The Lake – Free
- Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum – Free Admission
- North Point Lighthouse – 2 Admissions for the Price of 1 Admission
The museums are located in close proximity to one another, along N. Prospect, N. Wahl and N. Terrace Avenues.
Shuttle Bus
A free shuttle bus runs continuously approximately every half hour from one museum to the next along the Milwaukee Museum Mile, beginning at 11:00 a.m. from the Museum of Wisconsin Art at Saint John's On The Lake heading north. The shuttle will cease operations at 4 p.m.

- Museum of Wisconsin Art at Saint John's On The Lake: Origami from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Charles Allis Art Museum: Sandpaper Prints
- Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum: Art Puzzles
- North Point Lighthouse: Lighthouse coloring papers, beanbag toss and ladder ball outside weather permitting
Children's Scavenger Hunt
Complete the entire scavenger hunt correctly, turn it in at any museum location and receive a special prize, while supplies last. One prize per family.
Milwaukee Museum Mile Prize Drawings
Enter a drawing at each museum location for the chance to win:
- Ken Wardius' book, North Point Milwaukee Lighthouse from the North Point Lighthouse
- John Gurda's book, One People, Many Paths: A History of Jewish Milwaukee, from the Jewish Museum Milwaukee
- Alexander Eschweiler in Milwaukee booklet from the Charles Allis Art Museum
- Cyril Colnik: Man of Iron book from the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum
Grand Prize Drawing
In addition, one winner will be selected from all entries collected for a special Milwaukee Museum Mile Membership Package, which includes access to all Milwaukee Museum Mile museums for one year, and a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant at St. John's On The Lake.
Refreshments
Enjoy complimentary refreshments at each location while supplies last. Please respect each venue by keeping refreshments in designated areas.
Docent Led Tours
Docent led tours are available at each museum location throughout the day.
