MILWAUKEE MUSEUM MILE

Welcome to the Milwaukee Museum Mile!

The Milwaukee Museum Mile is a unique consortium of museums nestled along Lake Michigan on Milwaukee’s Historic East Side. Five wonderful museums have come together to create a simple and affordable way for visitors to access and enjoy multiple museum experiences and promote the area as a destination for Milwaukee residents and visitors to our city.

Join Us for Our 4th Annual Milwaukee Museum Mile Day
Sunday, May 3 | 11am–4pm

On this day, all five locations will offer free or reduced admission. Each museum will offer free docent‐led tours and light refreshments – including champagne at several locations. Free activities for children will also be available including a Milwaukee Museum Mile scavenger hunt. A free, continuous shuttle bus will be available for travel between locations.

The Milwaukee Museum Mile is pleased to partner with UW‐Milwaukee’s Flourish Festival featuring performances created by their Creative Trust’s Moving Pictures program and performed at all five Milwaukee Museum Mile Locations. The Creative Trust is an alliance between UWM’s Peck School of the Arts and area long-term care communities focused on art creation and arts programming.

Participants are welcome to park at museum locations where parking is available or utilize street parking. Walking and bicycling to the event are also encouraged.

About Moving Pictures
Moving Pictures is a live interactive performance that imagines the stories behind a piece of art from each Milwaukee Museum Mile location. Join us in creating a short story from a photo, and then experience a re‐telling of a story created by area elders. Inspired by the TimeSlips storytelling project and the elders in Milwaukee's Creative Trust, an alliance to foster life‐long learning through the arts. There'll be a different story performed at each museum.
